Understanding the Throwing System
The controls involve tapping the screen or pressing the Space key to launch an egg vertically. Once released, the egg follows its trajectory without allowing you to change its direction. You must predict where the moving basket will be when the egg returns downward. Watching its horizontal movement helps determine when to throw. Launching too early or too late causes the egg to miss its target.
Scoring and Losing Eggs
Each run begins with five eggs, and every unsuccessful throw removes one from your supply. The game ends when all five eggs have broken. Successful catches allow you to continue climbing and earn points.
The main gameplay mechanics include:
- Launching eggs with a single button.
- Landing inside moving baskets.
- Earning one point for a successful catch.
- Receiving two points for a centered landing.
- Losing an egg after missing a basket.
- Reaching higher positions as difficulty increases.
What Changes at Greater Heights?
As you climb, baskets become narrower and move faster. Some begin changing speed during their movement, while higher baskets may also move vertically. These variations make their positions more difficult to predict and reduce the time available for accurate throws.
Egg Toss does not feature separate story chapters, equipment upgrades, or traditional levels. Its progression is based on reaching higher baskets during a continuous run. You can concentrate on making safe catches or attempt to land in the center for additional points. After losing all your eggs, your final score is recorded, allowing you to compare it with previous attempts. Improving your results requires recognizing basket movement patterns and adjusting the timing of each throw.
