Enginefall is a multiplayer crafting shooter set entirely on enormous post-apocalyptic trains. Players begin near the tail of a megatrain and gradually push toward better carriages, including First Class and guarded engine sections. There is no traditional story campaign with scripted chapters. Instead, progress comes from scavenging resources, crafting equipment, building temporary bases, fighting other players, and escaping with valuable loot that can be used to improve a personal train.

There is no traditional story campaign with scripted chapters. Instead, progress comes from scavenging resources, crafting equipment, building temporary bases, fighting other players, and escaping with valuable loot that can be used to improve a personal train.

Exploring the Megatrain

Each carriage acts as a separate combat and exploration space. Tail sections contain poorer living areas, while later cars offer better resources and stronger opposition. Players move from carriage to carriage, searching containers, collecting materials, and deciding whether to continue forward or retreat before losing what they have found. The train itself remains in motion, so the entire playable world is built around connected rolling environments.

Crafting, Bases, and Loot

Resources gathered during raids can be turned into equipment, armor, and structures. Main gameplay activities include:

  •         scavenging train carriages for materials;
  •         crafting weapons, armor, and useful equipment;
  •         building compact bases for storage and respawning;
  •         fighting other players for resources and routes;
  •         changing loadouts during a raid;
  •         extracting with valuable loot;
  •         upgrading the Dagger shuttle;
  •         expanding toward a player-owned Marauder train.

PvP and Train Progression

Other players are an important part of every expedition. Groups can temporarily cooperate, raid trains together, or fight each other over valuable locations. Alliances are not guaranteed to last, so encounters can change from cooperation to combat depending on the available resources or objectives.

Long-term progression revolves around improving the player’s own mobile base. The Dagger shuttle begins as a basic vehicle but can eventually be replaced or expanded into a larger Marauder train. New carriages can become workshops, bunk rooms, storage areas, or gun decks. The basic gameplay loop consists of boarding a megatrain, scavenging and fighting through its cars, collecting stronger gear, extracting before losing the loot, and using the recovered resources to upgrade the player’s rolling home for future raids.
