Exo Rally Championship is an off-road racing simulation set across unexplored alien planets. The player joins an underdog racing team and competes in a series of rally events with the goal of becoming Exo Rally Champion. Races take place on procedurally generated stages rather than fixed circuits, so routes, terrain, and hazards can change. The main challenge is reaching checkpoints as quickly as possible while keeping the rover under control and avoiding serious damage.

Alien Rally Stages

Each event takes place on planets with different terrain, weather, gravity, temperatures, and environmental conditions. Some regions include forests and streams, while others contain dusty craters, frozen ground, steep slopes, and dangerous atmospheric conditions. There are no normal paved roads, so players must read the terrain and choose a safe route between checkpoints.

Rovers and Vehicle Management

Vehicles use realistic off-road physics, including tire behavior, drivetrain systems, suspension, and damage. Main gameplay activities include:

•         racing between checkpoints;
•         driving across procedurally generated terrain;
•         controlling RCS thrusters;
•         adjusting vehicle setup;
•         repairing damaged components;
•         managing tires and suspension;
•         completing rally events;
•         earning licenses for new vehicle categories;
•         improving times on previously completed stages.

Career and Custom Stages

Career mode starts with beginner rally events and gradually introduces more demanding competitions. Completing major events unlocks trials that allow the player to earn licenses for additional vehicle types. Different events can contain several races spread across multiple planets, so advancement requires adapting to changing gravity, surfaces, and weather instead of mastering one environment.

Exo Rally Championship also includes a Stage Editor for creating custom rally routes across alien landscapes. Players can place checkpoints, design routes across areas up to 10 km², and race on their own creations. Asynchronous events allow different players to complete the same stage separately and compare their times on leaderboards. The basic gameplay loop consists of preparing a rover, entering an event, racing through checkpoints, repairing and tuning the vehicle, and progressing toward more difficult championships and vehicle classes.
