My Own Hero Party is a party-building incremental game about a hero who has been removed from their previous group and decides to create a new team. The main objective is to enter dungeons, defeat enemies, collect gold, and use the rewards to make the party stronger for future expeditions. There is no long dialogue-driven campaign or open world. Progress is based on repeated dungeon runs where each attempt can improve the characters permanently.
Building a New Adventuring Party
The player begins with a Warrior and gradually unlocks additional party members such as the Archer and Healer. Each character has a different role during combat. The Warrior can use close-range attacks and taunts, the Archer provides ranged damage and piercing or explosive attacks, and the Healer supports the group with healing, barriers, and party bonuses. Characters can be improved through separate upgrade paths, allowing the player to create a stronger combination before entering more difficult areas.
Clearing Rooms Before Stamina Runs Out
Each expedition consists of a chain of dungeon rooms containing enemies, coins, and increasing danger. The party fights automatically, while the player focuses on upgrades, abilities, and decisions that affect the run. Important parts of the gameplay include:
- defeating enemies in consecutive dungeon rooms;
- collecting gold during expeditions;
- watching the stamina timer;
- upgrading damage, health, armor, and critical hits;
- improving healing, lifesteal, and economy bonuses;
- unlocking new party members and class abilities;
- attempting harder dungeon difficulties.
The stamina timer limits how long an expedition can continue, so the party needs enough damage and survivability to clear rooms before time becomes a problem.
Permanent Progress Between Expeditions
Gold collected during runs can be spent on a persistent upgrade tree. These improvements remain available for later attempts and can increase health, armor, damage, stamina, healing, critical hits, and other statistics. This means losing or ending a run still contributes to future progress. Better upgrades allow the party to survive longer, defeat enemies faster, and reach rooms that were previously too difficult.
The game contains several dungeon areas and difficulty tiers rather than traditional story levels. Locations include Goblin’s Dungeon, Minotaur’s Sanctuary, and Werewolf’s Den, with tougher contracts becoming available as the party improves. To play effectively, the player repeatedly enters a dungeon, collects as much gold as possible, strengthens the party between runs, and returns with better abilities. My Own Hero Party is mainly about building an effective team and gradually pushing farther through increasingly difficult dungeon expeditions.
