FNF QT Rewired is a reimagining of the original QT Mod that expands the encounter with new music, redesigned visuals, additional story details, and updated mechanics. The setup begins when Boyfriend hears music coming from an alley and finds QT, an android he has met before. She invites him to sing, turning the meeting into a rhythm battle. QT initially appears friendly, but the situation changes when KB, the machine connected to her body, becomes involved.

Blissful Starts as a Normal Rap Battle

The first main song, Blissful, follows familiar Friday Night Funkin’ rules. Notes move toward the receptors, and the player presses the matching directional controls in time with the music while trying to keep the health bar from emptying. QT is the opponent during this part, and the track begins without the more dangerous mechanics that appear later. Toward the end, however, KB reveals himself, changing both the tone of the encounter and what the player has to deal with next.

The main content includes:

  •         Blissful as the opening QT battle;
  •         Obliterated as the second main song;
  •         QT and KB as the central characters;
  •         Easy, Normal, and Hard chart options;
  •         additional Freeplay versions and mixes;
  •         changing BPM during Obliterated;
  •         sawblade attacks that require a separate dodge input.

Obliterated Adds a Survival Mechanic

Obliterated shifts the focus from a standard note chart to a battle where rhythm and reaction have to be managed together. KB periodically attacks Boyfriend with sawblades, and the player must press the spacebar on the third beat to avoid them. Missing this dodge causes an instant game over, regardless of how well the regular notes were being played. The track also changes tempo repeatedly, moving through a large range of BPM values during the song.

Songs Function as the Main Stages

FNF QT Rewired does not use explorable levels or a traditional map. Its main progression is organized through songs, with Blissful introducing QT and Obliterated continuing the confrontation after KB appears. Freeplay adds alternate material, including a Pico Mix of Blissful and other versions of existing tracks, while further content has also been planned for the mod.

There are no equipment systems, inventories, or character upgrades to manage. Progress depends on finishing the charts, timing directional inputs correctly, and responding to special mechanics when they appear. Players who struggle with Obliterated need to divide their attention between incoming notes and KB’s sawblade cues, making memorization and timing more important than simply reacting to the arrows on screen.
