Idle Isekai – an Idle RPG combines automatic RPG battles with long-term character progression and roguelite systems. The player controls a growing group of heroes and sends them through increasingly difficult floors filled with different enemies. The story is set in a fantasy world where the party is tasked with fighting the forces threatening it. The current demo contains the complete story for World 1 before opening an endless section that continues up to floor 150.

Building a Party

Four playable characters can be unlocked in the demo, while the full game is planned to contain more than 19. Each hero has different abilities, allowing the player to experiment with party combinations as stronger opponents begin to appear. More than 35 enemy types are included, with individual strengths and weaknesses. Progress also moves through different environments, including forests, deserts, caves, and dungeons, although the demo currently covers two main zones.

Improving Characters Between Battles

Character growth is divided across several systems rather than relying only on standard levels. Gold can be invested into a large equipment upgrade tree, while relics provide passive bonuses to the entire team. The demo contains 10 relics out of more than 40 planned for the complete version. Church blessings and blacksmith upgrades provide additional ways to modify how quickly the group develops.

The main progression systems include:

  •         leveling characters by reaching higher floors;
  •         unlocking new playable heroes;
  •         collecting and activating relics;
  •         purchasing equipment upgrades with gold;
  •         improving individual stats through Iseking;
  •         using special abilities during progression;
  •         adjusting builds for damage, speed, defense, or resource gain.

Iseking works as a reset-based progression mechanic. Restarting part of the character’s progress provides resources that can be invested into individual stats, allowing later runs to become stronger. This creates a loop of pushing to higher floors, earning resources, resetting when useful, and rebuilding with improved bonuses. The demo does not include unit merging, although that system is planned for the full version.

Reaching the Endless Floors

After completing the World 1 story, players can continue into endless progression until floor 150 in the demo. Stronger enemies and changing enemy combinations require continued upgrades rather than simply repeating the same setup. Special abilities can assist the party in battle or increase resource generation, while relics and equipment determine how quickly the team grows. Progress therefore revolves around balancing automatic combat with decisions about upgrades, character statistics, relics, and the timing of each Isekai reset.
