Krillion is a trivia game where players try to give valid answers that are less common than the choices made by other people. There is no storyline, map, character progression, or traditional campaign. Each game is built around seven questions, and every question asks for one example that fits a category. Instead of choosing from prepared options, the player types an answer manually and submits it before the timer runs out.

Answering the Questions

Each question gives the player a category, such as countries, films, sports, television, geography, or pop culture. The player has 25 seconds to think of a response and enter it. A correct answer is not automatically worth the same number of points as another correct answer. Krillion checks how rare the submitted response is and assigns a score based on that rarity. Obvious answers are usually worth less, while uncommon but valid answers can produce a higher result.

Scoring and Available Modes

A full round consists of seven questions, with a maximum total of 700 points. The score also controls how deep the player’s exploration drone travels. Important parts of the game include:

•         seven questions in a standard round;
•         typed answers instead of multiple-choice selections;
•         a 25-second timer for each question;
•         rarity-based scoring;
•         Daily Dive with the same questions for all players;
•         themed question packs;
•         numbered games that can be played separately.

The rarity system is divided into several tiers. The highest tier can award 100 points for a single answer, while more common responses receive smaller amounts. This means that two players who answer every question correctly may still finish with different scores because they chose different examples.

How to Improve a Score

The main strategy is to avoid entering the first correct answer that comes to mind. If the category asks for something broad, the player can often earn more points by choosing a less obvious example that still clearly matches the question. However, an unusual answer is only useful if the game accepts it as valid, so accuracy remains necessary.

Krillion can be played directly in a browser on desktop or mobile devices. After all seven questions are completed, the game shows the final score and corresponding depth. There are no combat mechanics, upgrades, or traditional levels. Progress in each session is measured through the rarity of the submitted answers, the number of points earned, and the final depth reached by the drone.
