Mining Merchant is a mining and shop-management adventure about restoring a failing jewelry business owned by the protagonist’s uncle. The basic routine is divided between gathering resources underground and using them to produce items for customers. Players mine ores, metals, gemstones, and hidden treasures during expeditions, then return to the shop to turn those materials into jewelry. There is also a story element involving mysterious earthquakes that occur at night and gradually become part of the larger mystery surrounding the business.

There is also a story element involving mysterious earthquakes that occur at night and gradually become part of the larger mystery surrounding the business.

Mining Provides the Materials for Everything

Underground areas contain the resources needed to keep the shop running. Players use mining equipment and mechs to dig deeper and search for increasingly valuable materials. Progression allows faster mining, larger carrying capacity, and access to more profitable resources. The mining sections are therefore closely connected to the management side rather than functioning as separate levels.

Jewelry Is Made Through Interactive Crafting

Raw materials cannot simply be placed directly on store shelves. Ores must be processed before they become rings, necklaces, and other jewelry. Players smelt metals, shape items, and set gemstones using a physics-based crafting system. Finished products are then stocked in the family shop, where customers arrive to purchase them and contribute to the store’s reputation.

Players can:

  • mine rare ores, metals, and gemstones;
  • collect hidden underground treasures;
  • smelt and shape raw materials;
  • create rings, necklaces, and other jewelry;
  • set gemstones into finished products;
  • stock shelves and serve customers;
  • upgrade the character, mech, truck, and shop.

The Shop Expands With Continued Progress

Mining Merchant does not use a conventional sequence of numbered campaign levels. Progress is based on improving equipment, leveling up, digging deeper underground, and expanding the jewelry business. The shop can gain additional floors, while individual rooms can be upgraded to support a larger operation. Mechs, the truck, and the player character can also be improved as more money and resources become available.

A typical gameplay cycle starts with an underground mining trip, followed by processing the collected materials and crafting jewelry. The player then stocks the shop, serves customers, earns money, and spends the profits on upgrades that make future expeditions more productive. Mining Merchant combines resource collection, interactive crafting, shop management, upgrades, and a story about rebuilding the family business while investigating the unexplained earthquakes.
