Deep beneath the surface, a colony of rats is preparing to escape from a dungeon where humans imprisoned them. Plaguebound is an incremental auto-battle strategy game in which you take control of the Rat King, a mysterious creature that has awakened without memories of its past. Your objective is to guide the swarm through 50 underground floors, defeat the creatures guarding them, and discover what lies beyond the dungeon. The story gradually reveals details about the Rat King’s imprisonment and the reasons humans feared its existence.
