The game focuses on online matches, car control, positioning, and learning how the ball reacts to different types of contact.

Driving and Controlling the Ball

Cars can accelerate, turn, jump, boost, drift, flip, and perform aerial movement. Players can also drive onto arena walls and use them to approach the ball from different angles. Boost provides additional speed for reaching the ball, recovering after an attack, or returning to defend the goal. Because the ball follows physics-based movement, the direction and angle of each collision affect where it travels next.

Matches and Controls

RocketGoal can be played with other online players or with friends. Practice mode provides an empty field where players can learn movement and shooting without opponents. Ranked matches are also available, allowing players to progress through the league and compete for positions on the leaderboard.

The main controls include:

  •         WASD or Arrow Keys to drive;
  •         Right Mouse Button or K to jump;
  •         Left Mouse Button or J to use boost;
  •         Shift to drift;
  •         Q and E to control air roll;
  •         Space to change the camera.

Cars can remain on the ground for standard shots or leave the surface to intercept higher balls. Aerial movement allows players to block shots, redirect the ball, or attack it before an opponent can reach it. Timing is important because missing an aerial attempt can leave the goal unprotected. Defensive play therefore involves watching both the ball and the position of other cars rather than constantly driving directly toward it.

Cars and Competitive Progress

Players begin with the Vortex and can later unlock additional cars such as Overdrive, Crimson, Specter, Frostbite, Pulsewave, Blaze, and Nitron. RocketGoal does not use traditional numbered levels. Progress is connected to playing matches, improving mechanical control, unlocking cars, climbing the league, and increasing leaderboard position. The basic objective remains the same in every match: control the ball, create scoring opportunities, defend your own goal, and finish with more goals than the opposing side.
