The salon becomes a contest of timing in Devilish Hairdresser, where the player secretly changes a customer’s hairstyle while an angelic stylist works nearby. There is no traditional story with dialogue, exploration, or character development. Each stage follows the same basic situation: the devil hairdresser wants to ruin the angel’s work, but getting caught immediately ends the attempt. The goal is to fill the devilish progress bar before the available time runs out.

Wait for the Right Moment

The player controls the devil hairdresser with a simple press-and-hold mechanic. When the angel looks away or becomes distracted, holding the action starts cutting, coloring, and changing the client’s hair. Progress continues for as long as the button remains pressed. As soon as the angel begins turning back, the player must release the control and stop working. Continuing for even a moment too long can result in being caught and sent to Angel Prison.

Clients, Stars, and New Haircuts

Each completed stage introduces another client and a different hairstyle to sabotage. The angel also becomes more attentive as the player advances, reducing the amount of safe time available for working. Performance is rated with bronze, silver, or gold stars, and better results come from completing the transformation efficiently without being discovered.

During a level, the player needs to:

  • watch the angel’s movements;
  • begin styling only when she is distracted;
  • hold the action to fill the devilish meter;
  • stop immediately when she looks back;
  • finish before the timer reaches zero;
  • earn higher star ratings;
  • unlock additional clients and trophies.

Completed hairstyles are also stored in a lookbook, allowing previous results to be viewed again. The game includes five trophy achievements that provide extra objectives beyond simply clearing each stage.

Increasing Difficulty

Devilish Hairdresser does not use exploration areas, combat, or traditional platforming levels. Progress comes from completing one salon challenge after another while dealing with shorter opportunities to act unnoticed. Later stages demand more careful observation because the angel checks the player more often, making long uninterrupted actions riskier.

Success depends on balancing speed with caution. Working for longer periods fills the meter faster, but stopping too late can erase the entire attempt. Replaying stages gives the player a chance to improve star ratings, complete the hairstyle more efficiently, and work toward unlocking all available trophies.
