Green Button Game is a short point-and-click puzzle built around a simple objective: interact with the green button and work out what the game expects from the player in each stage. There is no story, named protagonist, dialogue-driven campaign, or character progression. The game takes the basic idea of older button-puzzle games and turns it into a sequence of small challenges where observation and following the instructions on the screen are more important than speed or combat.

Five Short Levels

The available version is a demo containing five levels. Each stage works as a separate puzzle rather than part of a larger world, and completing the current task allows the player to continue to the next one. The presentation remains deliberately simple, keeping attention on the button and the changing instructions instead of introducing enemies, inventories, upgrades, or complicated controls.

Point-and-Click Gameplay

Green Button Game is classified as a point-and-click adventure, so interaction is handled primarily with the mouse. The player needs to examine what appears on the screen and determine the correct action. The basic gameplay consists of:

  • reading the current instruction;
  • searching the screen for interactive elements;
  • clicking the green button when required;
  • reacting when the challenge changes;
  • trying another solution after an incorrect action;
  • completing all five available stages.

The game also includes a dedicated how-to-play explanation, helping establish the basic interaction before the player works through the puzzles.

Progression and How to Play

There are no experience points, unlockable abilities, equipment, or character statistics. Progress is entirely level-based: solve the current button puzzle and move forward until all five stages in the demo have been completed. Since the challenges are small, failed attempts can be followed by another approach without losing a large amount of progress.

The most useful way to play is to pay attention to wording and screen changes instead of clicking immediately. Button games often rely on simple visual tricks or unexpected interactions, so the obvious action may not always be the correct one. Green Button Game therefore works as a compact puzzle experience centered on reading instructions, experimenting with clickable objects, and finding the correct way to reach or activate the green button in each available level.
