The player’s main task in Guildrun Demo is to prepare for fights rather than control every attack. A party of heroes is positioned on a battlefield, where combat proceeds automatically once the encounter begins. Character placement and ability combinations determine how the team performs against enemies. Each expedition consists of PvE encounters, with rewards that can change the direction of a run. A group that begins with conventional combat roles may develop into a different formation through upgrades and equipment.
The Mystery Behind the Rifts
Across the game world, unexplained rifts have appeared in cities, bringing monsters into populated areas. The player assembles a guild to confront these threats and close the openings. Discovering what caused the rifts provides the story’s central question. Rather than following a single protagonist through scripted chapters, the game progresses through repeated expeditions. Players build their teams, overcome enemy encounters, and gradually work toward resolving the crisis.
Changing Classes and Abilities
Every recruit starts with a specific class and an individual ability. However, specializations, items, and relics can change how that character functions during combat. Different effects can be combined across multiple heroes, allowing players to create teams that do not follow conventional class restrictions. Possible strategies include:
- Developing a supporting healer into a character capable of defending the front line.
- Transforming a ranged damage dealer into a fighter who attacks enemies at close range.
- Pairing two lovers on the battlefield to receive bonuses that increase over time.
The demo contains 25 heroes, more than 300 relics, and over 100 items that can be unlocked across multiple attempts. Successful runs open additional difficulty settings, with eight levels available in total. Endless mode provides encounters beyond the standard progression and records results on leaderboards. Players can consider their choices without a timer and save an unfinished run. Progress depends on selecting suitable combinations rather than reacting quickly during combat.
From One Battle to the Next
Start by drafting heroes and examining the opponents they will face. Arrange the party so its members can support one another, then begin the encounter and observe the automatic battle. Afterward, review the available rewards and decide whether to recruit another character, improve an existing hero, or obtain equipment. A team lacking defense may require a different formation, while insufficient damage can be addressed through specializations and relic combinations. Continue adjusting the guild between encounters to overcome stronger enemies. Each successful expedition brings the player closer to closing the rifts.
