The battle in Jevil Fight Simulator takes place inside a prison cell beneath Card Castle, where three heroes confront a jester who believes that nothing can restrict his freedom. Based on the secret boss encounter from Deltarune Chapter 1, the game allows players to control Kris, Susie, and Ralsei during a turn-based fight. Jevil uses different projectile attacks to damage the party, while players must decide how to respond. There is no separate storyline or exploration section; the entire experience focuses on surviving and completing this encounter.

Managing Three Characters in One Battle

Each party member has individual health and access to different actions. Players select commands before Jevil attacks, choosing between dealing damage, defending, using items, or performing special actions. Defending helps generate Tension Points, which are required for certain abilities. Players can attempt to defeat Jevil through direct combat or use actions that gradually exhaust him, eventually allowing Ralsei to cast Pacify.

What Makes Jevil Difficult to Defeat?

The defensive phase changes the gameplay from command selection to active movement. Players control a red SOUL inside a confined area while projectiles approach from different directions.

The encounter includes:

  •         Turn-based combat with three party members.
  •         Multiple attacks involving playing-card symbols.
  •         Moving obstacles and rotating projectile formations.
  •         Healing items for restoring party health.
  •         Tension Points used for special abilities.
  •         Different strategies for defeating or pacifying Jevil.
  •         Attack sequences that require precise movement and timing.

Some patterns require players to move continuously, while others are easier to survive by making small adjustments. Learning the behavior of each attack reduces unnecessary damage.

How the Encounter Progresses

Use the arrow keys to navigate menus and move the SOUL during defensive phases. Press Z or Enter to confirm commands, while X or Shift cancels selections. Holding X or Shift during projectile attacks slows movement, making it easier to pass through narrow gaps.

Jevil Fight Simulator does not feature numbered levels, unlockable locations, or equipment upgrades. Progression consists of surviving successive turns while reducing Jevil’s health or increasing his tiredness. As the fight continues, different projectile patterns appear, requiring players to adjust their movements. If all party members are defeated, the encounter must be restarted. Completing the battle depends on balancing offensive actions, defensive decisions, and available healing resources.
