Meccha Obby is a 3D parkour game where the player controls a Meccha-style character across a floating obstacle course. There is no story, combat, or mission-based campaign. The objective is to reach the end of the course as quickly as possible while avoiding gaps and obstacles. Every attempt is timed, and completed runs can be compared through a leaderboard. Falling from the course does not always mean starting over, because checkpoints save the player’s position along the route.

Crossing the Floating Course

The course is made from platforms suspended in the sky and is completed as one continuous run rather than a series of separate numbered levels. Players need to run, jump, balance on narrow surfaces, and judge the distance between platforms. The route gradually introduces more difficult obstacles, including moving and floating platforms, smaller landing areas, narrow paths, and sections that require more precise timing. Falling into the void returns the character to the latest activated checkpoint.

Checkpoints, Coins, and Timed Runs

There are eight checkpoints positioned throughout the course, represented by blue flags. Reaching them records progress and reduces how much of the route must be repeated after a mistake. The game also tracks completion time, so finishing the course is only one objective; players can return and attempt faster runs after learning where the difficult jumps and moving obstacles are located.

The main gameplay elements include:

  • One continuous 3D obstacle course
  • Eight progress checkpoints
  • Running and precision jumping
  • Moving and floating platforms
  • Narrow paths and gaps
  • Coins collected during runs
  • Unlockable character skins
  • Timed attempts
  • Leaderboard rankings
  • Respawning at the latest checkpoint

Coins provide another form of progression. They can be used to unlock different appearances for the Meccha character, including Classic, Noob, Lime, Coral, Ocean, Ember, Neon, Frost, Lava, Aurora, Void, and other skins. These options change the character’s appearance rather than adding new movement abilities. Because the obstacle course itself remains the main challenge, improvement comes primarily from learning jump distances, platform behavior, and faster routes between checkpoints.

Controls and Reaching the Finish

On desktop, WASD controls movement, Space is used to jump, and the mouse rotates the camera. The camera is important when approaching narrow platforms because adjusting the view before jumping can make the landing easier to judge. A practical way to play is to complete the first attempt carefully, activate every checkpoint, and learn how each moving obstacle behaves. Later runs can focus on maintaining momentum and reducing pauses. Meccha Obby is completed by crossing the entire obstacle course and reaching the finish, while additional attempts are used to improve the recorded completion time and leaderboard position.
