Working With Open Applications
MyDock provides a place to keep frequently used applications and monitor programs that are currently running. You can add shortcuts by dragging them into the dock, rearrange their positions, and change their icons. Hovering over an active application can display previews of its open windows, helping you select the one you need. Files can also be dragged onto compatible application icons to open them directly.
Tools Beyond the Application Dock
The second major component, MyFinder, offers a menu bar with controls for various Windows functions. It brings commonly used settings into a single interface, reducing the need to open separate system menus.
MyDockFinder includes options for:
- Launching programs from customizable dock shortcuts.
- Opening folders and examining their contents.
- Switching between windows using application previews.
- Controlling music and other media playback.
- Adjusting audio volume and selecting output devices.
- Managing Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and system tray icons.
- Monitoring processor, memory, and network activity.
Changing How the Desktop Looks
The appearance settings cover several parts of the interface. Users can modify dock icons, adjust transparency and blur intensity, and choose window minimization animations. The software also supports light and dark themes, allowing its interface to follow the selected system appearance.
MyDockFinder can operate across multiple monitors and supports high-resolution displays. Different visibility settings determine whether the dock remains on screen or hides when it is not needed. You can also access shutdown and restart commands through MyFinder. These features allow users to organize their desktops around frequently performed actions while keeping their existing Windows programs and files accessible.
