NAKWON: Last Paradise is a multiplayer zombie survival game set in post-apocalyptic Seoul. After a global infection destroys normal society, the remaining survivors gather in protected settlements such as Yeouido. The player lives in one of these safe zones and leaves it to search ruined city districts for food, equipment, crafting materials, and other supplies. There is a background story about the outbreak and collapse of Seoul, but gameplay focuses on survival rather than a linear story campaign.

The player lives in one of these safe zones and leaves it to search ruined city districts for food, equipment, crafting materials, and other supplies. There is a background story about the outbreak and collapse of Seoul, but gameplay focuses on survival rather than a linear story campaign.

Leave the Shelter and Enter the City

Expeditions take place at night in areas filled with infected and other survivors. Players need to search buildings, streets, and containers while deciding how much risk to take before leaving. Other survivors can cooperate, avoid one another, or attack for valuable loot. Zombies are also a constant threat, making stealth and careful movement useful when direct combat would attract too much attention.

Survival Continues After Extraction

Returning safely does not end the gameplay loop. During the day, players manage their shelter, arrange furniture, dismantle resources, craft items, and improve equipment for future expeditions. Survival systems also include injuries and stress, so even relatively small problems can become dangerous if they are ignored.

Players can:

  • explore ruined districts of Seoul;
  • search for food and useful resources;
  • fight or avoid infected;
  • encounter hostile or cooperative survivors;
  • extract with collected equipment;
  • craft items and improve gear;
  • manage and customize a personal shelter.

Maps Offer Different Expedition Rules

NAKWON does not use traditional numbered levels. Instead, players enter separate expedition maps. Earlier testing included the Jongno areas, while newer development has introduced locations such as a large multi-floor shopping mall inspired by Yeongdeungpo. This indoor map uses vertical routes between floors and is being designed with its own extraction structure, layout, and special infected.

A typical session starts in the shelter, where the player prepares equipment and decides what resources are needed. The next expedition involves entering the city, searching for supplies, avoiding or confronting threats, and reaching extraction before everything is lost. NAKWON: Last Paradise Playtest focuses on PvPvE survival, scavenging, stealth, resource management, shelter development, and repeated high-risk trips into infected Seoul.
