Project: Doors is a first-person cooperative horror game about exploring a shifting Labyrinth made from connected dimensions. Mysterious Doors have appeared around the world, and the player takes the role of a field Agent sent inside them. The main objective is to secure anomalies, complete assignments, collect unusual items, and uncover the truth behind the Labyrinth. The story asks why the Doors exist, what the Terminal is, and who created the network of unstable worlds.
Exploring the Labyrinth
Each expedition takes players through different dimensions connected by Doors. Locations can contain traps, environmental anomalies, strange objects, puzzles, and hostile creatures. The Labyrinth is designed to feel unpredictable, so opening a new Door can lead to a completely different type of area. Players need to search rooms carefully, identify useful objects, and decide whether an unfamiliar element is safe to approach.
Monsters, Puzzles, and Objectives
Different runs can involve several kinds of tasks and dangers. Main gameplay activities include:
- exploring changing dimensions;
- solving environmental puzzles;
- collecting notes and story clues;
- completing quests;
- securing anomalies;
- extracting bugged or unusual items;
- avoiding mannequins, maniacs, and supernatural entities;
- using sci-fi equipment;
- returning safely to the headquarters.
Cooperation and Progression
Teamwork is important because many dangers are easier to handle when players communicate. One person can inspect an area while another watches for creatures or warns the group about traps. Voice communication is useful when the team becomes separated or discovers something dangerous. Players can also customize their Agent with different outfits and equipment.
Between expeditions, the squad returns to HQ. This area acts as a safe base where wounds can be treated, supplies restocked, and equipment upgraded before another trip into the Labyrinth. The basic gameplay loop consists of preparing at HQ, entering a Door, exploring a dimension, solving puzzles, collecting useful or story-related items, surviving encounters with creatures, and escaping with what the team has found. Story progress comes from completing quests and discovering notes that gradually explain the Labyrinth and the purpose of the Doors.
