Shark Mart is a first-person shop management game where players control sharks pretending to be friendly dolphins. The disguise allows them to operate an underwater store visited by fish and whales, while a hidden operation takes place beneath the shop. There is no traditional story campaign with chapters or named heroes. Instead, the premise develops through the player’s actions: keep customers satisfied, maintain the dolphin disguise, and prevent the Fish Police from discovering what is happening.

Running a Convincing Underwater Store

The public side of the business works like a management simulator. Players stock shelves with goods such as seashells and seaweed, serve fish customers, clean the shop, and make sure everything looks normal. Keeping the store organized helps gain the trust of visitors. Whales can also arrive for special services, and cleaning and polishing them increases their loyalty to the business.

What Happens Behind the Counter

The shop is only a cover for the sharks’ real activities. Customers can be secretly taken to the hidden basement and used to prepare food, creating another set of tasks alongside normal store management. During a session, players may need to:

  • restock products on the shelves;
  • serve visiting fish;
  • clean dirty areas of the store;
  • wash and polish whales;
  • maintain the shark’s dolphin disguise;
  • take selected customers to the basement;
  • remove evidence before the Fish Police investigate.

Managing both parts of the operation is important because suspicious activity can attract attention.

The Fish Police provide the main source of pressure. Officers can investigate the store, so players must clean crime scenes and avoid leaving evidence that reveals the sharks’ identity. Interrogations may also occur, requiring the shop to appear legitimate. There are no traditional levels with fixed combat encounters. Progress instead comes from operating the business, handling more products and customers, and keeping the secret operation functioning without being exposed.

Working Alone or With Other Sharks

Shark Mart can be played alone or cooperatively online. In multiplayer, several players can divide the work, with one shark serving customers while another restocks shelves, handles whales, or works in the basement. The basic gameplay combines shop management, resource handling, cleaning, customer service, and hiding evidence. Success depends on keeping the front of the store functional while making sure the Fish Police never discover that the friendly dolphins behind the counter are actually sharks.
