Size It Up focuses on rebuilding photographs from separate image sections that have been mixed and resized. The game has no storyline, characters, dialogue, or narrative scenes. Each stage is based on a single picture that has been divided into several parts. The player has to determine where every section belongs and whether its current scale matches the rest of the image.

Reconstructing the Picture

The main challenge comes from comparing neighboring pieces and looking for visual connections between them. A section may be in the wrong place, displayed at the wrong size, or both. Players can move pieces around and adjust their scale until objects, lines, backgrounds, and other details align properly. This makes the game different from a standard jigsaw puzzle, because position is only one part of the solution.

Level Structure

Size It Up includes 28 separate levels, each using a different photograph. The puzzles are completed one at a time, and every level has the same basic objective: restore the original image. During play, the player mainly needs to:

  •         swap image sections between different positions;
  •         compare shapes and visual details across neighboring pieces;
  •         resize sections that appear too large or too small;
  •         use continuous lines and objects as alignment clues;
  •         finish the full photograph before progressing.

The game is controlled with the mouse and does not use combat, inventories, upgrades, or character abilities. There are also no enemies or timed battles. Instead, progress depends entirely on visual analysis. Some parts of a photograph may be easy to identify because they contain clear objects, while others may only show textures, sky, walls, roads, or other backgrounds. These less distinctive sections often require the player to solve nearby pieces first.

How to Play

To complete a level, the player should first identify the most recognizable areas of the picture and place those sections correctly. After that, the remaining pieces can be compared against them. If two sections appear to connect but their proportions do not match, one of them may need to be resized. The puzzle is finished when all parts form one complete image with the correct arrangement and scale.

Size It Up was originally designed as an iPhone puzzle game and was later adapted for browser play. Some stages still reflect the original mobile layout, including screen rotation behavior. The game does not change its core mechanics as it progresses, so later levels continue to use the same combination of swapping, resizing, and visual matching.
