Welcome, Dear Human is a choice-driven horror dating game where encounters with supernatural creatures can develop into affection, fear, or something much worse. The player meets monsters and decides how to respond to them through dialogue, exploration, and interactive scenes. Relationships are not locked into one personality: choices influence how the creatures behave and which side of them the player sees. The story combines romance with psychological horror, secrets, and multiple endings rather than following one fixed route.

Relationships are not locked into one personality: choices influence how the creatures behave and which side of them the player sees. The story combines romance with psychological horror, secrets, and multiple endings rather than following one fixed route.

Two Very Different Encounters

The current story content introduces two monsters with separate scenarios. One route begins after moving into a new apartment and discovering a sleep paralysis demon there. Instead of immediately escaping, the player can explore the home with the creature and gradually learn more about it. The second story introduces a silent tentacled shapeshifter at a bar. This meeting ends with the protagonist being kidnapped and facing a much more direct problem: find someone else for the creature to eat or risk becoming its meal.

Choices Affect the Monsters

Dialogue decisions can change relationships, unlock secrets, and lead toward different endings. Welcome, Dear Human also includes interactive moments and minigames, so progress is not limited to selecting dialogue options. Some decisions involve questionable actions rather than obvious good or bad answers, making survival and trust part of the same system.

The main activities include:

  • choosing responses during conversations;
  • exploring locations connected to each monster;
  • completing interactive scenes and minigames;
  • making decisions that change later events;
  • discovering secrets and alternative outcomes;
  • unlocking music and artwork in the gallery;
  • replaying routes to reach different endings.

The larger structure is built around individual monster routes. The full game is planned around ten different monsters, each with a distinct personality and storyline, while the available demo focuses on two of them. Choices can also influence the player’s surroundings, so earlier decisions are reflected in more than dialogue alone.

Understanding What You Met

There are no combat levels, weapon upgrades, or traditional character statistics to develop. A playthrough mainly consists of talking, investigating, making decisions, and determining how close the protagonist is willing to get to something clearly inhuman. Replaying with different responses reveals alternative scenes and endings, and a monster that seemed sympathetic on one route can become frightening under different circumstances. The central progression therefore comes from uncovering more about each creature and seeing how different choices reshape the encounter.
