Ace Gangster is an open-world crime game where the player moves through a city, works for criminal gangs, steals vehicles, and earns money and reputation. There is no complex story campaign with long cutscenes. Instead, the player takes jobs from different gangs and gradually builds a criminal career by completing tasks around the city. These jobs can involve stealing cars, attacking buildings, destroying property, transporting items, and other illegal activities.
Taking Jobs Around the City
The player can move freely through the streets between missions and choose when to follow available objectives. Some jobs require entering specific buildings, while others focus on driving or attacking targets. Vehicles can be stolen and used to travel faster, escape from danger, or complete certain missions. Police can also react to criminal activity, forcing the player to leave the area or avoid being caught.
The main gameplay includes:
- exploring the city freely;
- accepting jobs from criminal gangs;
- stealing and driving cars;
- attacking enemies with different weapons;
- destroying buildings or other targets;
- completing delivery and transport tasks;
- earning money and criminal reputation;
- escaping from police after committing crimes.
Reputation Opens More Opportunities
Ace Gangster does not use traditional numbered levels. Progress is mainly connected to completing missions, earning money, and increasing reputation. Successful jobs give the player more opportunities in the city and allow them to continue working for criminal groups. The structure is similar to an open-world sandbox, so players are not always forced to move directly from one mission to another.
Cars, Weapons, and Free Exploration
The player moves with the arrow keys, uses an action button to interact with vehicles and other objects, and can enter buildings when needed. Several weapon slots are available, while aiming and shooting are controlled with the mouse. Cars can be hijacked directly from the street and then driven around the city.
Most of the game alternates between free exploration and mission-based objectives. The player can focus on earning money, completing gang jobs, driving around the city, or causing trouble outside missions. There is no separate level-select structure, so progression feels continuous as more activities and opportunities become available.
