Eulogy is a point-and-click story about a woman revisiting memories connected with her sister, Ashley. The game takes place in their childhood home, where household objects reveal parts of Ashley’s life and the relationship between the sisters. The story deals with grief, regret, and suicidal ideation. Instead of explaining everything at once, it lets the player reconstruct events by examining what Ashley left behind.
A House Full of Memories
There are no traditional levels or separate stages. Progress depends on exploring the house and interacting with every required object. Clicking an item opens dialogue, a memory, or information about its connection to Ashley. Some objects also contain clues needed later. The game tracks completed interactions, allowing the player to check whether something has been missed before continuing.
How Progression Works
Several interactions function as small environmental puzzles. Ashley’s laptop is protected by a password, and its clue can be found on a sticky note in her bedroom. Her diary is also locked, with the password connected to the date shown in her graduation portrait. The diary only becomes available after every required item in the house has been examined.
The main actions are:
- inspect objects around the house;
- read memories and comments connected to them;
- find clues that reveal passwords;
- unlock Ashley’s laptop and diary;
- check which interactions are still incomplete.
The diary gives the clearest explanation of Ashley’s state before her death. Its entries show depression, regret, and thoughts she did not fully share with those around her. By this point, the player has already seen many of her belongings and related memories, so the diary connects those details into a fuller account of what happened. There is no combat, score system, or timed challenge. Progress comes from observation, reading, and completing the required interactions.
Reaching the Ending
After the final diary page is read, the front door becomes the last interactive point. Clicking the doorknob ends the game. Eulogy follows a fixed sequence: examine the house, uncover information stored in Ashley’s belongings, solve the password clues, read the diary, and leave. The ending remains locked until all required objects have been found, so the player cannot finish the story without completing the full set of memories.
