Bounties and Missions

Each run begins in Town, where a bounty is selected from the Sheriff. Missions send players into larger areas containing a main objective, enemies, optional activities, treasure, and resources. Objectives can involve actions such as operating artillery or launching a missile before moving on to the boss encounter. After completing the main tasks and defeating the target, players need to reach the extraction point and leave on the hover train with their rewards.

Guns, Spells, and Builds

Combat combines firearms with elemental magic. Players can switch between guns and spells during a fight, using fire, acid, lightning, and other effects alongside conventional shooting. Movement includes jumping and air dashes, while a horse can be called when travelling across larger sections of the map. Back in Town, earned currencies and experience can be used to improve weapons, spells, character statistics, and other parts of the current build.

The main activities include:

  •         accepting bounty contracts;
  •         completing main and optional mission objectives;
  •         fighting skeletons, hostile robots, and other enemies;
  •         combining firearms with elemental spells;
  •         collecting currencies, blueprints, and other rewards;
  •         fighting a boss at the end of a bounty;
  •         extracting successfully with the collected loot;
  •         upgrading weapons, abilities, and character statistics.

Joker Cards provide additional bonuses that can change how a build works. Players can focus more heavily on gun damage, spell effects, healing, movement, or other bonuses depending on the upgrades they choose. Town also contains places for testing weapons and adjusting loadouts before another mission. Because available objectives and boss encounters can appear in different combinations, repeated runs do not always follow the same sequence.

Bosses and Extraction

Boss fights act as the final major challenge of each bounty. Encounters include large supernatural enemies such as a winged skull, spectral opponents, and a giant ghost train. After winning, the run is not complete until the team reaches extraction, so surviving the return trip remains important. Progress in Far Far West Demo comes from completing bounties, bringing rewards back to Town, improving the current build, and using those upgrades to handle harder combat more efficiently on later runs.
