Far Far West sends robot cowboys into a supernatural frontier where bounty hunting is the main job. Players accept contracts from the Town Sheriff and travel into hostile regions populated by monsters, skeletons, bosses, and other threats. Missions can be completed alone or with a group of up to four players. There is no traditional linear story campaign; progression is built around taking contracts, surviving combat, collecting rewards, and returning safely to Town.

Missions can be completed alone or with a group of up to four players. There is no traditional linear story campaign; progression is built around taking contracts, surviving combat, collecting rewards, and returning safely to Town.

Contracts and Combat

Each mission sends the player into an area with objectives that must be completed before leaving with the earned bounty. Combat takes place from a first-person perspective and combines firearms with magic. Revolvers and other weapons can be switched with spells during fights, allowing players to shoot enemies, use elemental attacks, support teammates, or build around a particular combat style. Missions can also contain environmental hazards and powerful enemies that require more coordinated attacks.

Town and Character Builds

Between missions, players return to Town, which functions as the central hub. The Gunsmith allows weapons and utilities to be purchased and customized, while other locations provide spell options, character upgrades, a shooting range, and additional services. Loadouts can be changed before starting another contract, making it possible to focus on areas such as spell damage, healing, or accurate gunfire.

The main activities include:

  •         accepting bounty missions from Town;
  •         exploring hostile regions and completing objectives;
  •         fighting monsters with guns and spells;
  •         facing stronger enemies and bosses;
  •         collecting rewards during missions;
  •         upgrading weapons, abilities, and loadouts;
  •         returning to Town after completing a contract;
  •         cooperating with other players during combat.

Missions and Progress

The world includes deserts, haunted mines, cursed areas, and locations affected by supernatural events. Players may encounter reanimated enemies, dangerous weather, and special threats such as the ghost train while travelling through missions. The exact challenge changes depending on the selected contract and difficulty, while the World Map shows available regions and information connected to mission progress.

Progress in Far Far West comes from repeatedly completing contracts and improving the bounty hunter between missions. Weapons, spells, perks, and other upgrades allow new combinations to be created for later runs. Players can specialize instead of following one fixed class path, adjusting their equipment before each mission according to the enemies or role they expect to face. Successful play depends on movement, accurate shooting, spell use, managing threats, and knowing when to complete the objective and return with the collected rewards.
