Gore Box gives players a collection of maps, weapons, vehicles, characters, and physical objects without assigning one fixed mission. Developed by F2Games, it is a first-person physics sandbox focused on experimentation, combat, construction, and destruction. There is no traditional storyline or main character whose journey must be completed. Instead, players create their own situations, such as battles, vehicle crashes, survival scenarios, role-play sessions, or tests involving different objects and NPCs.
Control the Sandbox With the Reality Crusher
The Reality Crusher is the central tool in GoreBox. It allows players to spawn objects and characters, move them around the environment, connect items, change their size, and remove them when they are no longer needed. This makes it possible to arrange a battle, build a temporary structure, create an obstacle course, or place vehicles and enemies around a map. Objects follow the game’s physics system, so collisions, explosions, falls, and moving parts can produce different results each time.
Weapons, Vehicles, and Player-Made Scenarios
GoreBox does not contain numbered levels that must be finished in order. Its maps provide open areas for creating and testing scenarios. The available activities include:
- Spawning NPCs and arranging custom battles
- Using firearms, melee weapons, and explosives
- Driving cars and testing vehicle collisions
- Manipulating objects with the Reality Crusher
- Creating role-play situations with other players
- Fighting hostile creatures and armed characters
- Downloading community maps, saves, and modifications
The game also supports user-created content through its add-on system, allowing players to expand the available environments and scenarios.
Creating Rules for Each Session
Movement and combat use standard first-person controls, while the Reality Crusher provides separate modes for interacting with objects. Players can build a scene first and then participate in it directly. For example, they may place barriers, spawn several enemies, select weapons, and attempt to survive the resulting encounter. Multiplayer servers can be used for PvP, cooperative activities, or role-play, with hosts controlling certain permissions and restrictions.
