Happy’s Humble Burger Cult combines fast-food management with cooperative survival horror. One to four players take part in an experiment operated by the Paragon Corporation, where they are assigned to work shifts inside controlled restaurant simulations. At first, the job involves preparing meals, serving customers, and reaching a financial quota. Once the simulation begins to collapse, Asset Joy escapes containment and starts hunting the workers. The game continues the story of Happy’s Humble Burger Farm and explores another part of Paragon’s reality-altering program.

Working Under Pressure

Every shift requires the team to operate a restaurant from a first-person perspective. Players grill burger patties, fry side dishes, pour drinks, prepare desserts, pack completed meals, and work at the register. Tasks can be divided between team members so that one player cooks while another handles orders or keeps ingredients ready. The game includes six restaurants with different menus, so teams must learn new layouts and preparation processes as they progress.

From Cooking Shift to Escape Attempt

Happy’s Humble Burger Cult uses repeatable runs rather than traditional numbered campaign levels. Each shift contains a quota, a time limit, and random modifiers that change the working conditions. More than 35 modifiers can affect customer numbers, appliances, communication, and other systems. During a typical run, players must:

  • Accept customer orders and prepare the correct meals
  • Coordinate cooking, packing, and register duties
  • Reach the required financial quota
  • React to modifiers affecting the restaurant
  • Stop working when Asset Joy begins hunting
  • Find the exit and escape with the earned cash
  • Spend money on boosters, contracts, or story progression

The microphone is also part of the gameplay. Asset Joy can react to spoken words, while certain incantations may alter the restaurant or produce useful effects.

Leaving With the Money

Surviving the cooking phase is not enough because the team must also escape after the monster appears. Players should learn the restaurant layout during the shift, remember possible exits, and avoid becoming separated when the hunt begins. Successful extraction preserves the money earned during the run, while failure can prevent the team from carrying those rewards back to the lobby.

The lobby acts as a preparation and social area containing minigames and options for the next contract. Earned money can purchase boosters, unlock harder jobs with larger payouts, or be sacrificed through an ascension ritual that advances the story. Happy’s Humble Burger Cult focuses on teamwork, repeated shifts, changing conditions, and the transition from organized restaurant work to a coordinated escape.
