Hozy Demo focuses on restoring neglected rooms after the main character returns to the town where they grew up. Instead of combat, scores, or timed objectives, the player works through renovation tasks and gradually turns damaged interiors into finished living spaces. The demo contains three levels: Parents’ Home, Artist’s Workshop, and Little Sister’s Apartment. Each location introduces the main cleaning, repair, and decorating systems while also containing objects and details connected to the people who use the space.
Cleaning and Renovation
Every level begins with a room that needs practical work before it can be decorated. Players remove rubbish, clean floors and windows, strip away damaged materials, repaint surfaces, and repair parts of the interior. Different tools are used for specific jobs, including cleaning and renovation equipment. The cleaning system uses physics-based interactions, so dirt and objects respond directly while the player works rather than disappearing through a simple menu command.
Furniture and Room Design
Once the basic restoration is finished, furniture and decorations can be unpacked and placed manually. Objects can be moved and rotated, and there is no single required arrangement that determines whether the room is correct. Players can continue changing a completed room after finishing its main tasks, allowing each of the three demo locations to be rearranged in different ways.
The main activities in Hozy Demo include:
- removing rubbish and damaged materials;
- cleaning floors, windows, and other surfaces;
- painting walls and restoring parts of a room;
- unpacking furniture and decorative objects;
- moving and rotating items freely;
- interacting with objects around the room;
- using Photo Mode to capture finished interiors.
The rooms also contain smaller interactive details beyond the required renovation tasks. Windows can be opened, candles can be lit, books can be arranged, and other objects react when used. These interactions are not traditional side missions; they are part of exploring and finishing each interior. There are no penalties for taking longer or experimenting with different layouts, so progress depends on completing restoration objectives rather than working against a timer.
Completing the Demo
Progress in Hozy Demo comes from finishing the three available renovation levels and learning the core tools introduced across them. Each level moves from cleaning and repairs toward furnishing and decoration, after which the room remains available for further rearrangement. The demo does not include the full set of nine locations or the wider selection of furniture and tools found beyond these introductory spaces. Its playable content is centered on restoring the three available rooms, experimenting with their layouts, and using Photo Mode to record the finished results.
