Clearing a crowded cluster of rocks is the entire challenge in Rock Declutterer, a puzzle game inspired by Bubble Spinner. Instead of firing bubbles into a fixed ceiling, the player shoots colored rocks toward a rotating central formation and tries to connect matching colors. Every successful shot can remove part of the cluster, but every impact also changes the board’s rotation and the angles available for the next attempt. There is no narrative campaign or character-driven story; the game focuses on aiming, bouncing shots, matching colors, and managing the constantly shifting board.

Every successful shot can remove part of the cluster, but every impact also changes the board’s rotation and the angles available for the next attempt. There is no narrative campaign or character-driven story; the game focuses on aiming, bouncing shots, matching colors, and managing the constantly shifting board.

Classic and Modern Modes

Classic Mode places every available rock color on one board from the beginning. Shots can bounce from the side walls, allowing the player to reach areas that are difficult to hit directly. Modern Mode changes the progression system: it starts with only three colors, and every cleared board introduces another color until six are active. Clearing a board also increases the score multiplier, so longer runs gradually become more valuable while the puzzle becomes harder.

Aiming, Bounces, and Rotation

The main actions are simple, but the rotating field creates several tactical decisions:

  •         aim with the mouse or arrow keys;
  •         hold Shift for slower, more precise aiming;
  •         fire with a click, X, or Space;
  •         bounce shots from walls to reach hidden positions;
  •         match rocks of the same color;
  •         use impacts to rotate the central cluster;
  •         plan around the changing angle of future shots.

Modern Mode allows shots to bounce from every wall, but a rock disappears after its sixth bounce. This prevents players from keeping one shot active indefinitely and makes complicated bank shots something that must be planned rather than repeated randomly.

The rotating board creates a tradeoff between opening new angles and making the next shot harder to line up. Hitting one side can expose rocks that were previously blocked, while a poorly chosen impact can rotate useful matches away from the firing position. Clearing the board therefore depends on thinking about both the current match and what the cluster will look like after the collision.

Two-Player Versus

Versus Mode puts two players on the same screen with a gun positioned on each side. Each player aims and fires independently, but shots can also be banked into the opponent’s gun, forcing it to fire whatever rock is currently loaded; after being hit, that gun cannot be triggered again this way for ten seconds. Rock Declutterer therefore combines color matching with angle control, board rotation, and, in Versus, direct interference between players.
