Bow Wow Battle is a voice-controlled battle game where players compete as dogs in real-time matches. The main mechanic is based on using a microphone instead of standard attack controls. Players bark into the mic to move a tug-of-war gauge toward the opponent’s side. The match ends when one player reaches 100% and scores a K.O., making voice input the central part of both gameplay and strategy.

Voice as the Main Control

The game measures both the loudness and the number of clear barks. Simply making noise is not enough, because separate and recognizable barks are more effective during battles. Players must find a rhythm, keep their voice consistent, and react quickly during each round. Online multiplayer allows players to face opponents through automatic matchmaking, while friend invites make it possible to set up matches with specific people.

Bow Wow Battle includes several activities outside standard 1v1 matches:

Dog Road serves as the game’s story mode. Players fight a sequence of boss dogs across eight stages, starting with weaker opponents and progressing toward stronger rivals. Clearing stages unlocks new breeds, and the final goal is to become Dog Road Master.

Breeds and Unlockable Content

Players can choose from breeds such as Shiba Inu, Pomeranian, Chihuahua, Toy Poodle, French Bulldog, Corgi, and Golden Retriever. Each dog is presented in a hand-drawn colored-pencil style and changes expression during battles. Winning matches earns WP, which can be spent on unlocking more content. Extra WP can be earned through K.O. victories and daily challenges.

Additional Challenges and Features

Crab Survival offers a different type of gameplay where players use their voice to repel waves of crabs. Item drops appear during the mode and help extend the run, making the goal to survive longer and earn a higher score. The game also supports voice-controlled menus, where one, two, or three barks can confirm, navigate, or cancel actions. Bow Wow Battle is available in Early Access, with planned additions including more breeds, ranking tiers, new stages, Steam achievements, and additional sound content.
