The game is story-driven, with Act 1 available at launch and Acts 2 and 3 planned as free updates.

The Purpose Behind the Hunt

The plot begins with The Pit and an organization called E.C.C. The player is invited into its Chosen Circle and is given a role in its mission. The group presents its actions as part of a larger purpose, but the work itself involves tracking people, making decisions, and feeding The Pit. The story is described as branching, so the player’s choices may influence how the events develop across the acts.

How the Card Investigation Works

The main gameplay system uses magical cards instead of a standard detective interface. Each card asks a question about where the target may be located. By playing the right cards, the player removes possible areas from the map and moves closer to the correct place. The hand is limited, so every question matters. The player cannot ask everything at once and must use the available cards in a practical order.

The game includes several important features:

  •         linear story progression through acts;
  •         Act 1 available at launch;
  •         Acts 2 and 3 planned as free updates;
  •         missions set in Carrister Valley;
  •         magical cards used to identify target locations;
  •         different monsters connected to separate missions;
  •         branching story choices involving The Pit and E.C.C.

Mission Design and Levels

Feed The Pit does not appear to use levels as simple numbered stages. Its structure is based on acts and individual investigations. Each mission gives the player a target, a map, a limited set of cards, and a monster to avoid. The goal is to narrow the search until only one location remains. Since the card hand can vary and the target’s position may change, investigations are not always solved in the same way.

Surviving the Monster

A monster appears during each mission and acts as the main threat. The player does not receive full information about its behavior immediately. Survival depends on observation, risk, and learning how the creature reacts. To play effectively, the player needs to compare clues, choose cards carefully, track possible locations, avoid unnecessary danger, and continue the investigation while the monster is active.
