Little Troubles in Spooky Town is a short adventure game set in an island settlement inhabited by ghosts and other unusual residents. The player explores the town, speaks with its inhabitants, and completes requests to prove that the protagonist can become whatever they want to be. The story progresses through practical tasks rather than long dialogue scenes or separate chapters.

Exploring the Town

The town functions as one connected area containing houses, paths, raised platforms, a harbor, and a lighthouse. Players must inspect the environment, locate useful objects, and determine which resident needs each item. Some characters provide tasks, while others offer optional conversations that do not affect story progression. The task list shows completed and unfinished objectives.

Tasks, Items, and Abilities

There are 11 main tasks instead of traditional numbered levels. These assignments are interconnected, so completing one request can unlock an outfit or ability required elsewhere. Objectives include finding items such as flowers, bottles, a telescope, and other objects scattered around town. The player can carry an item, deliver it to the correct character, or drop it when necessary.

The main controls are:

  • Use WASD or the left joystick to move.
  • Press E or the A button to interact.
  • Press Spacebar or the B button to jump.
  • Press I or the Y button to change outfits.
  • Press F or the X button to drop an item.
  • Press T or D-pad up to open the task list.

Outfits are part of the progression system rather than simple visual customization. Different clothing selections provide abilities that help the protagonist reach new places or solve particular problems. One unlocked ability enables a second jump in the air, making it possible to collect objects placed on distant platforms and continue climbing toward higher areas.

How Progress Works

To play efficiently, speak with every available resident, check the task list, and remember the location of objects that cannot yet be reached. Deliver carried items before picking up another one, then examine newly unlocked outfit options. The game ends after all 11 tasks are completed, with the connected requests forming a small storyline about helping the town’s residents and demonstrating the protagonist’s changing abilities.
