Bumper to Billions is an incremental management game about operating a toll road and turning vehicle traffic into a growing source of income. The player starts with a basic toll booth and manually processes cars as they arrive. Money earned from each vehicle can be reinvested into the road, allowing more traffic to pass through and increasing revenue. There is no traditional story campaign. Instead, the game presents the player as a TollCo operator whose main objective is to process vehicles, expand the operation, and continue increasing profits.

From One Toll Booth to Several Lanes

At first, vehicles need to be processed manually, but upgrades gradually reduce the amount of direct clicking required. Players can widen the road, automate toll lanes, and raise the amount charged to passing vehicles. Different lane types can also become part of the road, including bus lanes, HOV lanes, night freight routes, and motorcycle lanes. Choosing upgrades changes how efficiently traffic moves and how quickly money accumulates.

Traffic Changes Throughout the Day

Traffic conditions are not constant. Rush hours increase the number of vehicles arriving, while night shifts provide double earnings. Storms slow traffic without stopping income completely. Airport shuttles can also appear and can be activated to send waves of higher-value passenger taxis toward the toll road. VIP vehicles provide another opportunity for extra money, but they need to reach an available lane before they lose patience.

Players can:

  •         manually process vehicles through toll booths;
  •         automate lanes to generate income more easily;
  •         widen the highway and increase traffic capacity;
  •         raise toll prices;
  •         manage bus, HOV, freight, and motorcycle lanes;
  •         route airport taxis toward the toll road;
  •         prioritize VIP vehicles for larger payments.

Growing the Road Without Stopping the Traffic

Progress mainly comes from deciding where the next earnings should be invested. Increasing toll prices improves the value of each processed vehicle, while additional lanes allow more cars to move through simultaneously. Automation eventually turns much of the operation into an idle system, and the road continues producing money while the player is away. Experimental R&D upgrades provide further ways to increase throughput later in progression.

A typical session begins with manual processing and gradually shifts toward managing an automated highway. The current prototype sets a main target of processing 1,500 vehicles, although play can continue afterward. Success depends on keeping traffic moving, investing earnings efficiently, reacting to special vehicles, and expanding the toll operation until large amounts of money can be generated with less direct input.
