FNF Nocturnal Protocol is a fan-made Friday Night Funkin’ mod based on the Nocturnal Protocol song from FNF: Myths of Tubbyland and the Slendytubbies setting. Instead of a full campaign with several weeks, the mod is built around one main musical encounter. The player faces the Guardian, a white Teletubby character carrying a flashlight, while the stage and character designs use imagery connected to Slendytubbies. The recreation was created by GammamonNiro, with the original song composed by Sanco the Fox.

One Song Forms the Entire Battle

Gameplay follows the standard Friday Night Funkin’ rhythm system. Directional notes move toward matching markers, and the player must press the correct keys when they align. Successful inputs maintain the health bar and increase the score, while repeated mistakes reduce health and can end the attempt. The song changes in intensity as it continues, moving from slower sections into denser patterns and more active visual sequences.

The main content includes:

  •         one complete rhythm battle;
  •         the Guardian as the main opponent;
  •         Slendytubbies-inspired backgrounds and characters;
  •         directional note charts;
  •         changing visual sequences during the song;
  •         collectible custards;
  •         different endings depending on the run;
  •         a replayable song focused on accuracy and timing.

The Encounter Changes as the Track Progresses

FNF Nocturnal Protocol does not contain traditional numbered levels. Instead, the single song acts as one extended stage with several sections that change the scene and what is happening on screen. Tinky Winky appears during later portions of the sequence, including chase sections, while the Guardian remains central to the encounter. The track also uses a whistling melody connected to the Slendytubbies A Walk in the Park trailer.

Custards Affect the Ending

The mod includes more than one ending, giving the player a reason to replay the same song. Green custards appear as special notes during the chart, and collecting or avoiding them influences which conclusion is shown after the performance. Because of this, finishing the song is not the only objective: the player can also change the outcome by paying attention to these special notes.

There is no exploration, inventory system, character leveling, or separate story map. Progress happens entirely inside the rhythm battle, where the player follows the chart, survives the changing sections, and reaches one of the available endings. FNF Nocturnal Protocol is therefore structured as a compact FNF mod focused on one Slendytubbies-based encounter rather than a longer campaign with multiple songs and opponents.
