The Plant Shop is a narrative management game about Silvia, who spends her nights working in a small store that sells plants. Customers visit the shop with specific requests, and Silvia has to prepare the correct order before handing it over. At the same time, people begin mentioning an old curse connected to the town, and strange events start appearing during the late shifts. The game combines routine shop work with a gradually developing horror story rather than separating management and narrative into different sections.
Preparing Customer Orders
Every order is built from several steps. The player chooses the correct container, adds soil, selects the requested seed, and waters the plant before completing the sale. Different customers ask for different types of plants, including flowers and cacti, so the player has to pay attention to each request. Money earned from successful orders can be used to expand what the shop offers and improve parts of the business.
Daily Work and Progress
The Plant Shop does not use numbered action levels. Story progression is divided into working shifts, with new customers, conversations, and unusual events appearing over time. During play, the player can:
- read each customer’s request;
- prepare the correct plant step by step;
- earn money from completed orders;
- unlock or buy additional plants;
- improve the shop;
- listen to conversations about the town;
- investigate strange sounds and visual events;
- continue through later shifts as the mystery develops.
The routine becomes increasingly connected to the story. Some visitors provide information about what happened in the town decades earlier, while other events happen directly inside or around the shop. Silvia can also move through parts of the environment between orders, so the player is not limited to serving customers from one fixed position.
Story Modes and Outcomes
Story Mode focuses on Silvia, the curse, and the events surrounding the shop. Relaxed Mode removes the horror pressure and lets the player concentrate on serving customers and making plants. Endless Mode changes the goal by introducing a time limit and asking the player to complete as many orders as possible before time runs out.
The story can lead to different endings, so one playthrough does not necessarily show every outcome. Progress depends on continuing through the shifts, paying attention to what customers say, and interacting with the events connected to the curse. The basic gameplay remains consistent throughout: accept an order, assemble the plant correctly, manage the shop, and follow the developing mystery until the current route reaches its ending.
